Close online bookings for a while and reopen
Stop guests booking online during a rush or a private event, and open bookings again when you are ready.
Close bookings from now
- Check that you are working in the right venue. On the web, iPhone or a narrow iPad, open Reservations and tap the calendar button with a small clock. On a desktop browser it is left of the filter button, and on a small screen it is beside New; on the web it is green while guests can book online. On iPhone it is at the top left of the screen.
- On a wide iPad, the same button stands in the bar above the reservation list, to the left of the filter button.
- Choose 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or Rest of today. Guests cannot book online from this moment until then.
- Check that the button has turned red. Open it again to see when bookings reopen. The row with a lock at the top of the list shows the closed hours.
The closure applies to the selected venue and ends by itself. Bookings already made stay, you can still add bookings yourself, and online orders are unaffected. Rest of today lasts until the service day ends at 05:00.
Reopen early or close for longer
- Open the button and choose Open now, or choose Open now in the row with the lock at the top of the list (Open Now in the app), to let guests book again at once.
- To keep bookings closed longer, open the button and choose 1 hour, 2 hours or Rest of today under Close for longer. These count from now and never shorten a closure that is already running.
Close for set hours
- Open the button and choose Choose hours (Choose Hours in the app), then set Start and End. It opens the same dialog as Close hours (Close Hours in the app) in Calendar, for today.
- To close hours on another day, use Calendar. A closure that starts later today shows Reopen in that row instead of Open now; choose it to cancel that closure.
